Thanksgiving weekend

So, I spent Thanksgiving in California with Zack, Michelle, Ty, Lori and Bryn. I had a lot of fun! Bryn is such a good baby, I was lovin it. Lori cracks me up and "I know" everything! Ty is growing up so fast. One of these days he'll be taller than me and I'm not looking forward to that day! I thought I would share a few pictures. Zack, Michelle and Ty put up the Christmas lights outside while I held Bryn (the tough job). Lori wanted me to paint her toes red like mine, she's such a girl oh and I LOVE how she will spend so much time looking at herself in the mirror! We had birthday cake for Lori's birthday, so I could celebrate with her. Bryn has such a cute smiling face.

To be or Not to be...Interesting

Okay, thanks Monica! She tagged me and now I'm supposed to put out there SIX interesting things about me. I'm not sure if I can as I don't find myself very interesting, but I'll make up a few if I can't.
1. I find it interesting, looking back, that I haven't lived in one place for longer than 18 months. That includes city or apartment, not state. I'm about to break the record here in St. George.

2. I've gone through cars like some people do shoes. The first year I had my license I drove 3 different vehicles: 1981 Honda Prelude, 1989 Suzuki Swift, 1987 Volkswagon Cabriolet. Since that first year I have had 6 cars.

3. I have this thing with vampires. I'm fascinated with them. I'm not obsessed, see the difference in the spelling of the 2 words? I don't even know where the interest came from. I guess if I'm honest I like reading about all those mythical beings, like witches and werewolves. Perhaps that's one reason I love the Harry Potter books.

Bored yet? No, okay.

4. I have never broken a bone in my body, never had to stay overnight at the hospital (except when I had my tonsils out, but that was soooo long ago) and only had stitches once (that I know of). I guess I'm making that all up by spending so much time working at the hospital.

5. I have only had one second date. While this may be interesting to some it may seems really sad to others. Try not to feel sorry for me...it's just the way the cookie seems to crumble. I also find it interesting that I usually have a period of years in between dates. I know some may think that I'm just really picky, but I just get tired of looking out at the line of guys waiting outside my door, feel sorry for the first one in line and go out with him. It just never works out so I let them line up again. It's a vicious cycle.

6. I have spent more of my life in hot areas of the country. I hate the heat! I love the nice cold of winter and cooler summers. Where do I choose to live? I live in the middle of the DESERT!! This part of me is quite interesting because it's just another thing I can't figure out.

So, there! You can all blame Monica for this post. And since I'm in the mood I will tag the rest of you out there! Show me what you've got!!!

Merry Christmas! This is all you're gonna get!!!! :)

Some ancient wisdom

I once read this really cool Celtic wedding blessing and was looking for it again when I came upon some other great ones.

May those who love us, love us.
And those who don't love us,
May God turn their hearts;
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,
May He turn their ankles,
So we may know them by their limping.

a Scottish Blessing...
If there is righteousness in the heart
If there is righteousness in the heart,
there will be beauty in the character.
If there is beauty in the character,
there will be harmony in the home.
If there is harmony in the home,
there will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation,
there will be peace in the world.
So let it be.

Hope you like them.
